Recently Six Flags in San Antonio (Fiesta Texas) shut down one of their rollercoasters, The Rattler. With this rollercoaster going offline there are only two wooden rollercoasters remaining in the state of Texas, one of which is at the Kemah Boardwalk in Kemah, TX. The Bullet, as it is called, is the only wooden rollercoaster currently on the Texas Gulf Coast. The rollercoaster boasts 3,236 feet of track, which crosses over its own track over 40 times and travels at speeds just over 50 mph at its peak speed. The coaster sports a 92 foot vertical drop and features several twists and turns to make for one exhilarating ride.

Fun Facts About The Bullet
  • 96 Foot Tall Wooden Rollercoaster
  • Exhilarating First Vertical Drop, An Amazing 92 feet!
  • Reaches Speeds of 51mph at Peak Speed
  • 3.5x G-force
  • 3,236 feet of Total Track
  • 5 Feet Away from the Water’s Edge of Galveston Bay
  • 24 Passengers Per Train
  • Texas Gulf Coast’s Only Rollercoaster, Wooden or Steel
  • 800 Passengers Per Hour Can Ride
  • Constructed with Pressure-Treated Southern Yellow Pine
  • Designed by The Gravity Group, LLC
  • Constructed by Martin & Vleminckx Rides, LLC and Landry's Development
Individual tickets are on $6.00 per ride and full day tickets are also available. The Bullet is open when all other attractions and amusements are open for business, weather permitting. Every now and then maintenance is required but more often than not the rollercoaster is up and running, ready to thrill and excite it’s passengers. Next time you are in the mood to ride a rollercoaster, swing by the Kemah Boardwalk and catch a show, like the upcoming Rock the Dock Concert Finale, do some shopping and catch a ride on The Bullet.

Note to the Parents for the Kiddos: You must be at least 48” Tall to Ride
