After 3 Years of Waiting, League City’s Eastern Regional Park Opens October 22nd
Posted In: Events & Attractions | League City News Posted by Pam Moore on 10/23/2012

Anyone who lives in League City has seen how fast the city has been growing and witnessed new homes/subdivisions being built. Along with more people comes the need for recreation facilities. Luckily, League City residents now have a new park facility with extended hours.

The Eastern Regional Park opened to residents on Monday, October 22. The 28-acre park is located at 2105 Dickinson Ave., and can be seen from Hwy 96 (League City Parkway). The new park features soccer fields and a new 32,255 square foot recreation facility with multipurpose rooms and two gymnasiums. The Parks & Rec Office will relocate to the new facility and vacate their office at League Park on 512 2nd Street.

For more information about the youth sports, adult sports and classes being held at the Eastern Regional Park, visit the League City website. You will also find the days and times the facility will be opened.

If you do not remember the history of discussion about the Eastern Regional Park, I found an article posted on September 10, 2010 by the Daily News.
