Gehan Homes, with an eye to capitalizing on an opportunity, has once again resurrected a dormant subdivision in the League City area and is turning it into a state-of-the-art luxury lakeside community.  As I mentioned in my Hidden Lakes Comes Out of Hiding blog in August of this year, Gehan has a proven knack for taking a foreclosed development and turning it around.  This time, in dramatic fashion, Gehan is taking 34 gated, lakeside lots and constructing up to eight different floor plans that focus on capitalizing on the views of Clear Lake, with oversized windows and an emphasis on outdoor living spaces.  Home prices (not counting the lot) start at $355,990 for a 2,130 square foot lot and end at 3,993 square feet for $450,990.  Naturally, there are higher premiums paid for the most incredible of the lots.

I spoke with Christine Crump, Sales Consultant for Gehan, and she was clearly impressed with the progress the community has made, noting that their first four closings should take place by this year end.  At this pace, don’t be surprised if the neighborhood sells out before summer!
