Posted In: Seabrook News Posted by Pam Moore on 05/09/2014

Earlier this year, The Kemah Carriage Company had to stop offering rides down the streets of Kemah because their permit had expired. They are now back in action and ready to take visitors on three different routes, after approval by the Kemah City Council. Along with the approval of the permit and routes, a staging area for carriages on 7th Street was agreed upon.

The carriage routes now offer visitors options of 10, 20 and 30 minutes rides:
  • 10 Minute Route: Leave Kipp archway and travel south to 4th street, turn on Bay travel south to 5th street, travel west to Kipp and then north on Kipp back to archway.
  • 20 Minute Route: Leave Kipp archway travel south to 7th street, turn east and travel to end of street, turn around and travel back to Kipp turn north and travel back to Kipp archway.
  • 30 Minute Route: Leave Kipp archway travel south to 7th street, turn west and travel to Bradford, turn south and travel south on Bradford to 9th street turn west on 9th street and travel to Harris, turn north and travel 8th street, turn east and travel to Kipp. Turn north and travel back to Kipp archway.
