Back by Popular Demand, #2 Movie at the Texas City Dike – August 8th
Posted In: Events & Attractions | Texas City News Posted by Pam Moore on 07/31/2015

The debut of “Movie on the Dike” held on July 3rd was so popular, a second movie night been scheduled for Saturday, August 8th. Per the City’s license agreement we cannot disclose the title of the movie, but we will give hints on our Facebook pages. The Texas City Dike is located at Texas City Dike Road.

Parking and seating area will open at 7 pm, the dike access fee will need to be paid ($10 per vehicle), unless you are a Texas City resident with a dike sticker on your vehicle. The movie will begin at 9 pm. The viewing area is for chairs and beach towels/blankets only. The movie will not be well viewed from the parking area; audio will come through a large speaker system that can be heard up to 300 feet from the screen.

Food will be available for purchase. You can bring your own food and drink; NO glass bottles or containers are allowed on the beach. Please remember to dispose of your trash into the designated bins; we will hand out grocery bags to help contain your trash.
