Update on League City’s Hidden Lakes Development

Hidden Lakes Site Plan
In August of 2012, we blogged that Hidden Lakes Comes Out of Hiding. Well, it’s amazing what can happen in a little over a year. Robert Olveda, sales consultant at Gehan Homes, shared with us the latest Master Plan Update for Hidden Lakes and it is quite impressive! What once were vacant lots overgrown with weeds has now become a multitude of beautiful homes and the beginnings of a number of lakes. As interest rates continue to hover at historically low rates, builders in Hidden Lakes are trying to keep up with demand.

Take a look at the Master Plan Update to see the future of Hidden Lakes!

League City is Under Construction!
Posted In: League City News Posted by James Brockway on 11/28/2012

In case you had not noticed, new homes are popping up all around League City, whether it be in new developments (Cypress Bay, Hidden Lakes, The Peninsula at Clear Creek, The Township) or in established neighborhoods (Constellation Point, Mar Bella, Tuscan Lakes, Victory Lakes).  Earlier this year, the League City Economic Development Corporation produced its Community Profile 2012, the full text of which can be found here--League City ED Report.  In this report, they listed 20 Active Subdivisions in League City with an inventory of 1.962 lots available for construction.  Check out each subdivision below-whether it’s a home on the water, on the golf course or in a beautiful subdivision, League City has anything you could wish for!

Hidden Lakes Comes Out of Hiding
Posted In: League City News | Residential Posted by James Brockway on 08/16/2012

If you've driven down South Shore Boulevard southward from the Kroger at Highway 96 over the past several years, you may have noticed a couple hundred or so lots ready to be built on. Well, that day has finally come as Gehan Homes and Megatel Homes are set to begin construction on 214 lots that had been foreclosed on by United Development Funding. As The Galveston Daily News reported on August 7th, CTMGT, a subsidiary of Centurion American Development Group, purchased the lots and has gone under contract with the two home builders. I spoke with Bobbie Baker, Online Sales Consultant for Gehan Homes and she told me that she is excited about the opportunity to revive construction and they look forward to getting started, with their first model home expected to be completed soon. Gehan Homes has been building quality homes in Texas for over 20 years and has proven their stability in the Texas housing market. They also build in other surrounding communities such as Westover Park, Westwood, and The Peninsula at Clear Lake.

With interest rates at all-time lows and inventories of homes for sale also at low levels, don't be surprised if these homes start selling the minute the models are completed.

All the best to Gehan and Megatel!
